Our Children’s Ministry uses KidCheck for our check-in system. Please create your free account by going to, select “Create Your KidCheck Account,” and follow the on-screen prompts. There is also a KidCheck Mobile Check-In app from the App Store or Google Play Store to create, manage, and update your account right on your phone (does not complete check-in). Creating your account prior to your first visit helps your first check-in to go more quickly.


We believe Sunday school should be a fun experience for children, so each class is designed to be age appropriate, interactive, relevant, and safe. The mission of Grace Kids is to introduce children to Jesus Christ and guide them into a growing relationship with Him by creating spiritual foundations in their lives. Children can enjoy great learning and loving relationships. Our security system includes a computerized check-in. Please visit our check-in stations to receive a name tag and security code before dropping your child off at his/her assigned class. Trained volunteers and adult to child ratios guarantee quality care. In the event that Grace Kids staff needs to reach you during the service your child’s name and security code number will appear on the two number boards located on either side of the stage in the Worship Center.

Sunday Morning FAQs

Q. I would like to serve in children’s ministry but can’t help every week. Can I still serve?

A. Yes, many volunteers commit to helping weekly for a quarter or school year. Others serve once a month, every other week or as a substitute. If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out a ministry application and background check.

Q. How do I check my child into a Sunday School class?

A. Everyone checks in at our main Grace Kids Check-in station in the south lobby before taking children to their classrooms or nurseries.

Q. I’m visiting from out of town. Do I need to fill out a form to register my child for class?

A. Yes. The systems we have in place are for the safety and security of your child. Our check-in process provides your child with a nametag and a random 4-digit number that will be used to contact you if you’re needed during the service.  A second nametag will print to be used on the roster in the classroom and is a necessary part of our security.

Q. Can I go to class with my child to help them get adjusted?

A. Yes, the first visit or two, but we ask that you please talk with the supervisor on duty first.

Q. What curriculum do you use on Sunday mornings?

A. We are using The Gospel Project for Kids in all of our preschool and grade school classes.

Q. What should I bring in my child’s diaper bag?

    A. Please include the following items:

  • A complete change of clothes.
  • Extra disposable diapers.
  • A bottle and formula (if your child is bottle fed).
  • A comfort item such as a pacifier or security blanket.

Q. How do nursery promotions take place?

A. Children are promoted based on developmental guidelines, such as crawling or walking. The Nursery Coordinator will contact you when the promotion is appropriate.

Q. Are snacks provided for my child?

A. Cheerios are provided in the classrooms for crawlers and toddlers. Goldfish crackers are served in the preschool & Kindergarten classrooms. Please let us know if your child has any allergies to either of these snacks.

Q. My child cries when I check them into a nursery or preschool room. What do I do?

A. While this is common at several developmental stages, it is generally temporary and will likely last only a few weeks. When checking your child in, give them a kiss, tell them you will be back after the service and walk out.  It is best to keep the handing off process brief.  If your child continues to cry for more than five minutes we will page you and let you know.

Q. Can I bring my child if they are sick?

A. Please don’t. If your child is not feeling well, please do not check them into the nursery or classroom. If your child develops a severe cough, nasal discharge (greenish) or show signs of illness, you will be promptly notified. Our workers are not allowed to give any medication. Life Groups 4 Kids

Here at Grace we place high value on biblical community in smaller environments. We believe Life Groups are just as important for kids as it is for students and adults.

Each child will be placed in a Life Group with 8-10 kids their age and gender, and an adult leader. Together they will study the Bible as they learn more about Jesus and His purpose for their lives. Our prayer is that children will not only learn more about Jesus, but they will make relationships through their life group that will last a lifetime.

Child Dedication

Child  Dedication:

Following the example of Jesus, whose parents took Him to the temple to be dedicated, we offer parents the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord. We know that raising a baby is a really big deal and we are honored to partner with parents from the beginning of their journey. Baby D is an opportunity for parents to communicate before the Lord, family, and friends, the importance of Christ in their lives and the desire to raise their child to the glory of God. It is a special celebration that honors parents who have committed to raising their child in a Christ-centered home. Any parents who attend Grace and who know Jesus as Savior are welcome to dedicate their child.

Baby D FAQ
What is the Baby D Celebration? The Baby D Celebration is a new event scheduled on specific Friday nights, 2-3 times per year. This event is an opportunity for parents to commit to raising their child to know Christ, and for the church, family and friends to celebrate their commitment.

Is this an infant baptism? No. Scripture is clear that baptism follows an individual’s decision to trust Jesus for salvation. In the Bible, we find parents bringing their children to Jesus. He held them, prayed for them and told us to welcome them, but He did not baptize them or tell anyone else to baptize them. We believe that a child must be old enough to understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus before they can be baptized. This event is an opportunity for you as a parent to publicly declare that you want to raise your child to develop their own relationship with Jesus.

Is there an age limit for the child who is being dedicated? There is no age minimum or maximum for this event. Often, the child being dedicated is within their first year but many parents dedicate their older children as well.

Do I need to attend Grace to have my child dedicated? We encourage you to make sure you are calling Grace your home church. Why? In dedicating your child to God, you are stating that you are willing to partner with God and the church to raise your child in cooperation with God’s intentions. To partner with any church, you, as a parent, need to decide if you agree with its beliefs and vision so you can fully participate in partnership with the church.

If I am a single parent can I participate in the Baby D Celebration? Yes! Child dedication signifies the commitment of parents (including single parents) to do their best to raise their child to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

What can I expect during the Baby D Celebration? During the Baby D, you will have an opportunity to declare your commitment, be led in prayer, and enjoy a fun message focused on you as a family. Dessert and beverages are included in the event and a photographer will attend to capture these moments.

Grace believes in baptism for believers. After an individual puts their faith in Christ they are ready to be baptized. Children are no different. Baptism is an outward sign of their faith as going under and out of the water demonstrates the life, death and resurrection of Christ. Being baptized tells of their salvation and life in Christ.

A child is generally ready for baptism when they can express their belief in Christ and understand the meaning and symbolism of baptism. Children interested in baptism will attend a child baptism class, along with a parent. Classes are led by our Children’s Pastor and will be held during the Saturday Night Service on June 3 and September 30, 2017.

The Main Event

The Main Event is a week of fun—“VBS Style.” It is a 4-day (Tuesday-Friday) experience filled with action packed games, a theater production story, energetic live music, and awesome crafts. It is open to 4-year-olds – 5th graders. This event always runs the last week in June. Online registration begins in May.

On the Monday before The Main Event, there is what we call “Family Fun” exclusively for participants and their families. It is a time to pick up T-shirts, information packets, and safety information. Your entire family will have the opportunity to enjoy a fun atmosphere that includes something for everyone! It begins at 4:00pm and goes to 7:00pm. Come and stay as long as you want.

Immediately following the last day of The Main Event, for approximately one hour, your entire family can join us for our Main Event Family Experience. Your entire family can experience music from the week and a special theater production. There will also be lunch provided for families immediately following the Family Experience.
