The purpose of the Starting Point class is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating a conversational environment where they can explore faith and experience community. This ten-week class is for those who are new to a relationship with Jesus Christ, or those who are curious about God, Jesus, the Bible, or Christianity. Registration is necessary to attend. Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts: Your Unique YOU

Did you know that God has given every Christian at least one spiritual gift, and probably more? This four-week class is designed to help you discover how God created you, in terms of spiritual gifts and style, so that you can grow more closely into what God designed you to be. You will take one or more assessments to help you discover your spiritual gifting. During the last class you will learn about the many ministry opportunities you can plug into at Grace Community Church. Book fee is $7. Facilitated by John and Jan Bang.

Search for Significance for Men | 9 weeks | B63-5
To feel good about yourself do you ever find yourself driven to achieve, to earn approval, or to look just right?  There are many lies that Satan wants us to believe in order to feel "significant."  This book helps you understand what the Bible says to counteract these lies. This nine-week class will take you through lessons that can help you develop security and confidence as a child of God. Discussion will be based on the book "Search for Significance" by Robert McGee. Material fee is $12.50. Facilitated by Tom Lumsden.

Just Walk Across the Room
4 weeks | May 6-May 27 | B62
This four-week class is designed to equip and inspire you to participate in the same pattern of reaching out to others that Jesus demonstrated—by taking small steps to engage people. It will provide you with a natural and empowering approach to meet people where they are in life. This group experience will feature powerful video excerpts from Bill Hybels, lots of interaction, and opportunities to enlarge our hearts for people who don’t know Jesus yet. Material fee is $20.00. Facilitated by Fred Hunt.

Studies in Christian Living | 13 weeks | B67
So now that you have committed your life to Jesus Christ, “Now What?” This class is designed to help people answer this question and is ideally suited for those who have completed the Starting Point class within the last year. Just as there are fundamental things required to sustain a healthy physical life, there are also fundamental requirements necessary to maintain a healthy spiritual life. We will identify these fundamentals, examine what the Bible says about them, and show you how to begin putting them into practice. Book fee is $6. Facilitated by John Howard & Dixon Anderson.

The Light of the World (chapters 7-11)
As we dive deep into chapters 7-11, you’ll learn to walk in Jesus as the Light of the world and your relationship with Him will become more intimate. Note to those who weren’t with us in Part 1: Don’t let the enemy intimidate you!  God will meet you right where you are; He desires to speak to you through His Word.  We start with some review and welcome you to join us in the joy of getting to know Him better. Discerning the Voice of God | Begins April 10 | 6:30pm | 7 weeks | B61
Having a hard time knowing what God is saying vs. what others are saying? This Bible study is designed to help you know the voice of God: His language, character, and tone of voice. By growing closer to God through His Word, you will be able to discern God's voice from the voice of strangers. Book fee is $10.50. Facilitated by Julie Ross.

James: Mercy Triumphs  |  8 weeks
James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this Beth Moore study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer. The Seed  |  6 weeks
The Seed, by Priscilla Shirer, is a six-part series of short videos that includes thought-provoking, modern-day parables with weekly Bible study guides. Each video in the SEED series stands alone and covers a specific topic: forgotten, enough, control, armor, routine of sin, and glory. Homework involves studying Scripture based on the “5 Ps”: position yourself to hear from God; pore over the passage and paraphrase the major points; pull out the spiritual principles; pose the question; and plan obedience and pin down a date. Workbook fee is $18. Facilitated by Brenda Bindschatel.
