Serving Opportunities

“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” Matthew 20:28

Following Jesus’ example, we believe that serving is healthy, life-giving, and part of a fulfilling relationship with God. Every person has been given talents and opportunities. Being a spectator is not as exciting or rewarding as participating and experiencing God working through you! We invite you to discover your spiritual gifts, roll up your sleeves, make a difference for eternity, and find a ministry that you have a passion to touch lives and meet practical needs.

How is God leading you to become involved?

Barnabas House | Shaun Skidmore | 253.833.5660 x210 | shaun@graceinauburn.com
The Barnabas House, AKA the old Dream Center, will be used for many different types of ministry, for exam-ple, Bible studies, monthly homeless ministry, times of testimony, and possibly a thrift shop. We are in prayer that the Holy Spirit leads us in this ministry and would appreciate ideas others might have of how it can be used. Volunteers of all different types of skill levels help run the ministries, clean and maintain the cleanliness of the inside and outside, maintain the landscaping, and help put finishing touches on the remodel of the building.

Prison Ministry | Barry & Parry Wilber | barry.wilber@gmail.com
This is a team of musicians, vocalists, and prayer warriors that lead a time of worship in Monroe at two of the men’s prisons. This team heads out during the 2nd service on the 2nd Sunday of every month. The group car pools to Monroe to lead a service, then has a meal together before arriving at the 2nd prison for another ser-vice. The band usually meets for rehearsal the previous Thursday night.
